watch nearly any of the ~150 or so folks I have followed on twitch. The existence of mods is not what causes people to splerg about cheats/hax, etc. they jsut haven't finished the system yet. (no illegal mods in WoWS yet, just one that is looked down on by the community, but still legal according to WG)ДЄlso AW.yeah time to drop a bomb on ya, AW plans to allow custom mods in the future.

its just that some mods are not legal and WG doesn't have a way to tell what each mod does.

(and even have skin contests hosted by WG) After awhile if you kept recreating accounts, it would block your IP. Oh, and America's Army banned your account if you were found to be cheating and circumventing the anti-mod feature of the game. Least everyone would be on the same playing field that way. I dunno, I use mods too, quickybaby's mostly due to XVM, but even that is soon to be baseline into wot by WG so I may not even need that anymore. The only thing that made one person better than another was that persons skill. That way EVERYONE was on equal terms, playing the game the same as anyone else. You could create your own servers where you could mod your system, but if you wanted to play publically you had no choice but to have your folder scanned and wiped if you modded. If it detected changed files, it deleted them and re-downloaded the correct ones from the vendor site. Why not get rid of them entirely? America's Army (free tactical fps) had a system in place that scanned and scrubbed the folder where the game was installed to block mods. Armored warfare doesn't use mods, neither does Warthunder. Why doesn't WG just remove mod's from the game entirely? I haven't looked, but unless I miss my guess both World of Warplanes (although who cares) and World of Warships do not use mods. Ya know, every day I hear of someone complaining/accusing someone else of cheating due to mods and what not.
